"Our Spirit caregiver is absolutely marvelous! She is wonderful to mother and has made such a difference."

It’s more than a system…it’s a commitment.

The SpiritCare Performance Measurement System is the primary measurement tool we use to grade the performance of our personnel with each and every patient. It is at the core of our compensation and rewards system, motivating our employees to deliver the highest quality of care to every patient they are assigned.

There are essentially four components to the SpiritCare system. The first is patient satisfaction. Each month or at the end of their home healthcare experience, patients or their guardians are asked to complete a SpiritCare evaluation form. The information gathered will provide a point score that indicates that patient’s level of satisfaction.

The second component is documentation performance. Documentation is a critical component in any healthcare setting, as it often provides necessary feedback to physicians who rely on it to adjust treatments, medications and schedules. Making sure our employees treat every document with prompt, accurate attention is vital to patient outcomes as well as our standards of quality.

The third and final component is patient outcomes. We monitor each patient’s progression or regression in several categories, including ambulation, incontinence, pain thresholds and range of motion. All data collected is traceable to individual caregivers. This data is then averaged to create individual scores, which become a component for year-end bonuses as well as performance-based compensation increases.
